A total of 181,000 m³ of wastewater generated daily by residential, commercial, and business premises in the Konaklı region is collected and conveyed through a 482 km sewerage network.

The wastewater in Konaklı is predominantly domestic in nature, consisting mainly of discharges from kitchens, bathrooms, laundry facilities, and toilets, together with limited quantities of industrial and commercial effluent.
The treatment process consists of preliminary treatment, primary treatment, secondary treatment, odour control, sludge treatment, oxidation ponds, and final discharge.
