Novy Urengoy Airport is a modern airport located in Russia’s Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and serves as one of the region’s most important air transport hubs. Serving the Yamal region, where the natural gas and energy industries are highly concentrated, the airport operates year-round despite the area’s harsh climatic conditions.
In recent years, the airport has undergone an extensive modernisation programme. The new passenger terminal, covering approximately 19,600 m², is equipped with three passenger boarding bridges, 12 check-in counters, and advanced passenger service areas. The terminal has a handling capacity of up to 840 passengers per hour.
